The Baker’s Wife
She sings, she dances, she tries to surf, she walks the dogs, she forages, she loves food, she creates, she sews, she embroiders, she collects, she is enthusiastic, she is very curious, she works hard and plays even harder, she loves to connect to share, she has an eye for beautiful things, she is a friend and sometimes a foe, she is a daughter, a sister, a mother, she is The Baker’s Wife…
After a life on and back stage, in front and behind the camera, life moved from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere. Big audiences were replaced by small intimate ones, nature took the place of art, entertainment was replaced by lifestyle.
Life took a slower pace …… life got even better!
To share her love for the Life she is living in a tiny hamlet at the edge of the Cape Peninsula, she curated beautiful works of art and crafts made by the amazing people the Cape inhibits: hand thrown pottery, hand embroidered serviettes, runners and cushions with fynbos flowers the Cape is famous for, linen and hemp clothing – durable and sustainable fashion designed by The Baker’s Wife herself. From more afar Ngwenya glassware from the Kingdom of Swaziland and woven grass crafts are sourced. Original ‘Kweh’ bushman baskets have been made available thanks to some very adventurous and like-minded villagers during their annual visits to these remote tribes. And so much more all to be seen (and purchased) at The Baker’s Wife little pantry shop next to her husbands Cape Point Bakery!
Come and visit, have a chat, exchange some ideas, she’d love to meet you!
